153 | On May 14th, Minister Plasterk of Education, Culture and Science visits the CHN in Leeuwarden. All staff members and students are invited!
First, minister Plasterk will give a speech in the Frisian Language in response to a reaction the Frysk Nasjonale Party gave to the appointment of mr. Plasterk as Minister of Education, Culture and Science. In his column during a tv-programme in 2000 mr. Plasterk called the Frisian language not a valuable subject at school.
Secondly, the minister wants have a debate with students and staff members of the CHN about developments in higher education in the Netherlands. He will use this information as input for the agenda of policy 2007 - 2011 of his department.
